The Ourimbah-Wyoming Magpies are proud to announce the launch of the James Maloney Academy for 2024.
As part of several big changes taking place at our club, James has agreed to drive an Academy program giving Magpies players access to elite level coaching, strength and conditioning programs + experts in areas like nutrition, leadership and wellbeing.
The Academy will be open to all international players for 2024.
An introductory program will also be run for younger Magpies in the U12s.
Once players register for the club, they will be sent all details.
The Academy is an incredible opportunity for young players & the club is so grateful for the generosity and enthusiasm being shown by James – a former Magpies junior scouted at Sohier Park for what would eventually become a stellar career involving two NRL premierships, 14 Origins, three Tests and over 300 first class games.
Having only recently returned home from the UK, ‘Jimmy’ is now on the North Queensland Cowboys coaching staff and will be working with Academy players both personally and via zoom.
With registrations opening from this Friday, December 1, the Academy will start holding its first sessions in January, 2024.
